Still in the Country

As the morning announced itself

I lay with eyes shut

just listening..

An occasional car or tractor

would find it's way

down the road

accompanied along our fence line

by the warning barks

of ever so watchful Pyr's

Thibodeaux seemed to say..

"Don't you stop that thing here!"

"Keep it movin', you rascal!"

An occasional

"woof"

coming forth from Chloe

as she resided over her realm from

atop the door steps.

Peeking from under shaded eyelid

the light of day did not seize

my attentions

yet, the shading of a grey rainy sky

gently stroked my hazy spirit

to awaken and enjoy

the slow quietness of a country morning.

I am so tired

oh so tired.

I don't feel like laughing...

maybe later,

if I smile enough,

sing with the radio enough,

consider

fun things like...

faeries, house gnomes,sprites

that wear acorn tops for hats...

I'm already beginning to feel a little better...

but, my elbow still hurts.

I'm a Good Lolly-gager!

Monday morning and Michael is gone..

I need to get my rear in gear and here I sit...

Need to run to town buy a grocery item or two,

a baby's birthday toy,

wrapping paper and tape..

or just a bag and card

YEAH, that's the ticket!

take it by the shop...

then get back and get busy!

Tomorrow is for visiting in Huntsville..

Thursday and Friday doctors appointments

and seeing Pat..

Friday afternoon, spent starting work on fence

in Mama's back yard..

Saturday

all day fence work!

At least power and cable are on and she is back in her house!

Oh, and I need to stop in at Mam-maw's

to fix that picture of Ruth Anne and Bill for her..

will do that on the way to town.

Got to get started!!

No time to lolly-gag...

yet, I am getting Sooo good at it!
